The importance of Scholarships

Scholarships are very important for many students that will like to attend college. Scholarships are the one thing that will pay for your college. You can retrieve them from doing almost anything and that is what people do not know much about. Applying for scholarships helps you gain more money. The more you have the less you have to pay for college. You can have any type of talent and be noticed for or you can find a scholarship that suits you. This will help you on any financial crisis such as if your parents do not have the money or going in debt.

My checklist before I graduate

The many things I have left are SAT testing, retrieve requirements to be able send a final application to University of Texas in Arlington, and sign up for many scholarships as I can. SAT testing will be May 2nd and need to start going over many things and also will sign up for another SAT next year sometime either in the fall or spring. Throughout the rest of the High School year in any day that is either free I will look for  and sign up as many scholarships as I can. Also throughout my High School year I need to get all my requirements for my final application into college before spring of next year. My goal is to finish all of this as early as possible and dates are pending since one does not know what could happen or if certain things are needed. This college is the one for me since it contains the materials I would like to major.

College Degree and US school systems

A college degree depends on the field one plans on going in. If you want to get anywhere in this world then it will be worth the cost. Most places require a degree in order for you to go into that job. The degree is not the only thing that can help you. A college degree only gives you more opportunities which should be taken advantage of. Each time you go from bachelor's to doctorate's degree more job opportunities are open. So it is worth the time since you will soon get something good out of it at the end.
The United States does give students an opportunity in many things. Students have the chance to go to any college they want or to gain scholarships but many of this as to be earned through hard work. Take Mexico as an example. You need at least 4 years of college to get your first degree and in the US you need only 2 years. The US has a variety of places to become employed and almost everyone can become employed but in Mexico you must be at least the best of the best and there are not many places that will take in people for employment.

Spring Break

I went to Mexico to visit my family. We went to the movies to watch Cinderella. We rode downtown in the city of Chihuahua. It was a heavy break which I would not like to talk about. I mostly was playing video games or watching TV.

Poetry and ones self

1.    The most influential leader I have ever had would be my mother. one of the things that many would say is that she has always been there for me in troubled times. My mother has had some struggle when I tell her my problems because sometime she has a hard time figuring them out and a solution to it. Even though this occurs she always finds the best solutions to my problems. She inspires me to help others in their problems such as a struggle that they live in every single day and can't seem to escape it. Not all mothers are the same. Each one is a one of a kind because of the way they help you and love you.

2.    Mr. Keating's quote means that life is not all about work and the world inside of us. It is about the outside world and how you can see what us happening around you. It is about your personal life with others not just your job but it is your family and friends. I agree with Keating on this because many people that i have talked to, such as adults, have always complained that work is everything in life and it is the only way you can live through life. I know work is a way of life but if you keep thinking of just working or anything that has to with a job then you will stress yourself out and not think about the life you are in. Yes, it working is a thing we have to do but that is why after work we have free time to express ourselves and have a time of relaxation. My view on poetry is that each poem has a certain meaning and a lesson behind it. I also think that the author writes a story in which what they are feeling at a certain time of doing. We read poetry to become entertained but we do not see the background of its story and the meaning.

3.    I agree with Mr. Keating that we have to look at things in a different perspective. One of the things from this is that this can resolve problems in a way someone thinks. If someone is struggling with a creative idea since they keep looking at the same thing the way to resolve it is to look at it differently. I do not have any personal experience but I know one example of this and that is in a movie called Big Hero 6. Even though this seemed as children's movie I saw how the main character, Hiro, struggled in finding an idea of a project to get into the University in which his brother attended. Soon after a few long attempts he decided to look in different angles and that is where he began his idea in creating an enormous project that helped him get into the University. Any time you you have a problem just look differently and you will soon find your answer.

4.    I do not know what kind of verse I would leave but my impression I would like to at least inspire someone in which they would never forget. I would like to help many people who are struggling in life and lead them to a correct path. Not many people have time for this and change this throughout their lifetime. I would like to leave seed planted into many people so they can soon sprout and plant more seeds into others and spread a chain reaction of inspiration. I think my verse would be Never look back and never look down because the past is left there and now it is time to see what the future awaits for you.

Neil and the boys questions " Dead Poets Society"

1.    There are many ways why Neil could and could not prevent his suicide. His father and some other boys blame Keating because he thought them that they have a choice and that no one should choose what you want. Keating was an inspiration to Neil. Neil always looked up to Keating. I think if Neil was have any last word before he died they would be thank you Mr. Keating and that it was not his fault. I think either way Neil would have committed suicide. To begin with, Neil never wanted to become a doctor. This was mostly his father's fault for not giving his son a choice of what he wants to do. His father never listened to his son and wanted everything his own way. This tempted Neil for a long time and that is why he shot himself.

2.    The bravest would have to be Todd and Neil. Todd was just a shy guy but he soon got over that. He was one of the boys who knew that Neil would not blame Keating for his death. This is why it looked like he did not sign the paper. He was forced to sign it but he always knew in his heart that Keating is not to blame for any of this. He was also the first of the boys at the end to get up on his desk and salute Keating. Neil was also brave because he confronted his father. Even though that confrontation was not good enough he decided he needed an escape so that is why he committed suicide. If I was him I would have just ran away and go one to live with a friend or some family member that cared about me. The one that was mostly a coward was Cameron since he snitched on the boys and was the first to blame Keating and to sign the paper. He was always there and he knew that the boys would soon get into trouble. Once they got into trouble he just blamed Keating for everything including Neil's death.

3.    I think Keating did put it in there to see of the boys were interested. Even though he knew it was possible for them to get into trouble he warned them to be careful and to do this in their free time. Keating did it to show the boys that there are more things in poetry than just rhyming words. This poetry book showed feeling and compassion that the authors had while writing this. The administrator did not allow things like this so he decided it would be good to teach them something new.

Theme of Dead Poets Society

One of the themes that i think is the main one for the whole film is carpe diem. Carpe diem means seize the day and it has been going throughout the whole movie. In the beginning we see how Mr. Keating talks about carpe diem. Soon after we see how the boys begin a change in their life and how they begin the Dead Poets Society. Every day is a risk for these boys since they are taking matters into their own hands and breaking some rules. Each boy lives through a certain problem every day. For instance, Todd's problem was shyness. He didn't think he would make friends. Soon days passed and he began to gain confidence and became friends with Neil and the boys. We also saw how Neil had to face his father who decided to make Neil's choices for himself. Neil always was afraid to confront his father and every day he lived like this. Knox's problem was his love for Chris. Every day he would plan out how to impress her and to gain her love. He would take risks such as go to the school that she went to or when she was with her boyfriend he would show her how better he is than him. Charlie was always the troublemaker who thought he could get away with anything. He soon learned that the hard way when days passed and he got caught. Each boy had to seize the day with that problem that was being held on them. They were at risk everyday and they knew that.
