Christmas Break

For Christmas Break I am going to be mostly with my family. We are going to finish up some of our Christmas shopping and go and have family time at the mall. Most of the break I will be helping out around the house to get ready for both Christmas and New Years. On Christmas we are going to be playing some Christmas games all up until we are tired. On New Years we are going to be buying fireworks and many different things such as New Years glasses and hats. I am hoping this will be a long and fun break and hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why College?

When going to college, I hope to accomplish many things such as completing all of my courses with a high grade and majoring in what I want to do. I am going to college for my whole family and I will be the first person to go to college. I want to make my family proud by completing college and going on to work in what I want to do. The characteristics that matter most when  choosing a college is mostly on what the college offers. For instance, lets say you want to major in math. You would have to first see if the college provides math courses such as algebra or calculus. I would seek many family and friends' input. The reason being is because my parents know only little about college so i would either seek my aunt's input or a friend who has gone and finished college. Having a college experience will get you ready for the real world. Even though you are taught many things in class you will also learn things through many people such as friends that you make there. College will also help with my goals by teaching me how to accomplish them by learning.

For my Thanksgiving Break would be mostly Christmas shopping to provide gifts for all of our family members. I will also help my family put up the Christmas Tree. Most of the time at home would be decorating the house for Christmas. I would most likely be playing video games and just eating.

Possible Job that I would take and what to do to prepare for applying for one

One possible job that is appropriate for me or students like me is at Gamestop. One thing that many teenage boys mostly do is play video games. This can help many customers that go there by answering questions on what the game is about. To prepare for an interview I would first try to look formal. As I greet the manager I would greet them with a positive attitude and also answer each and every question without a doubt. I would also prepare myself by having a resume and any other paperwork ready with me when needed. Finding a job online is not that hard but the only hard part is, is if you get hired. Your first impression is one of the main things needed when you are being interviewed. If you do not have a good impression then you may not have a chance on getting hired.

Homeless to Harvard:Liz Murray Review

The movie Homeless to Harvard was a very inspiring movie. My favorite part was when her friend Chris was telling her that she should not go to school but Liz knew to never give up. I loved how she took care of her mother even though she had a very hard life with her. I do think i could have been resilient to the life Liz had. Even though it will be a hard life i would still never give up and give it all i got because life is only given to you once. Very good movie and recommended to all people.

Budget did I go into debt or not.

To begin with, I was very surprised to see that i was not in debt. I was expecting to have at least  one hundred dollars in debt but I guess I might have over thought that. I feel at the same time that I am and I am not ready for these responsibilities. The reason  being is that I there can be many distractions and it can go over board in which it is too much to handle. At the same time I can figure everything out easily and organize it. I can prepare for this by beginning to save up money and planning ahead of time to do all this.

My top career choice

My top career choice is to be a Lawyer. Even though this may seem difficult it just requires a lot of work to pursue this career.This interests me since i can learn many things through this such as many rights that we have that many of us does not know anything about. I want to help those that are innocent and hopefully win every case.

My Stress test

So today our teacher made us take our stress test and I have to say my results were not as surprising as i thought they were going to be. I got a seven on the test which states "You've got your life in fairly good control. Work on the choices and habits that could still be causing you some unnecessary stress in your life." This here shows how my stress level is and it is not that bad. Things that stress me out is mostly homework because sometimes there is a part where you just don't understand and when you receive too much and do not know where to start. I deal with it by organizing them from their due dates and if they are all due at the same day then I do them in order of my class schedule. Marifer Flores

Organization: Is it a bad thing or a good thing?

My method of organization was putting every list and thing in the calender in order from the dates and time it occurs. This method works for me because it takes less time then trying to go in all random dates and put in your schedule than going in order from Monday to Sunday. Procrastination can hurt if you do not have a schedule. You might have something plan that day and something else can come in at that time. You need to plan your schedule from ahead of time and once you know the time something comes up you will be ready. You also have to be ready for any important notices and plan ahead of time to change your schedule.
